Parents
Time for an update. So, my parents came out to Phoenix and visited for a while. I got them a rental car and they drove it everywhere around the south west taking in the sights and visiting placed they'd never been. I hope they had a good time. I couldn't help though, worrying about them when they were driving around. It's not like they don't drive when they're in Virginia. I don't know what it is but I was just concerned. Luckily, nothing happened, and they made the whole trip safely. This whoe thing got me wondering through, about how our parents must feel when we take our first steps. Sometimes it tough to let go and even though we trust them, we feel obligated to protect the ones we care for. Now, if it was bad for me, I can't imagine what it's like to see my own kid learn how to drive, go away for college, or go out and try to tackle the world by themselves.
