In Review

2005.. What a year. I wrote an entry in 2004 that predicted it would be a year of change. It ended up to be a gross understatement so for 2005, I avoided any type of predictions. I remember setting goals for myself in early 2005, but didn't publish them here. 2005 has definitely been a year of both change, and extraordinary growth. Although I started my current Job in December 2004, I didn't arrive at the location I would be in until March. I sold my home, moved to a new city, and had to make the tough decision of leaving all my friends behind in Atlanta. I grew in ways I never thought I could. I've met a lot of great people in Chicago and even managed to hold down a single job for more than a year.

What's in store for 2006? There's no way to be certain, but Here are some resolutions for the year to come:

- Lose weight - Yeah, I know I know. So typical. On a different note, I went the extra mile and signed up at a fitness center to really get serious on this one. I've had this as a resolution for 3 years now and although I have made some progress (20lbs), I'd like to take it further.

- New Car - Ok, I said it. Although I've always wanted one, I've never really put my foot down. I don't care if I go broke doing it, I will be getting a new car this year, Period.

- Save Money - With all the changes that happened in 2005, I'm proud that I was about to come through the whole ordeal without taking on any debt. I think for 2006, I need to focus on saving more, looking to the future, and planning ahead. Yes, this one contradicts the previous statement, but I think both are possible if I play my cards right.

- Meet new people - I'm busy. Very busy. I still feel like now that I'm pretty settled in, I should go out and meet more people.

- Volunteer - More than ever, I'm interested in doing some volunteer work for the community, ideally at a hospital on the weekends. As many of you know, my dad has been in and out of the hospital many times and I think it would be a great way to give back if I could help out in some way.

- the "M" word - Hhhhhmmm, now I don't mean this year, but I do see the need to start thinking about this. I'm still not sure if I have the maturity or the right mindset for it yet however.

- Visit Korea - I think I need to go back and visit. May be related to the previous resolution. The toughest part of this will be asking for time off, I hate missing work.

Ok, that's 7. I think it's pretty important that I at least make an effort on all of them for 2006. What an ambitious prick. Guess I was just born that way.

Happy New Years Everyone!!!!!

BTW - Who let the dogs out??
