Yeah it's tacky but I'm gonna do it. Two years ago today, a group of men displayed thier hatred for our way of life by taking control of four airliners and destroying the World Trade Center towers and damaging the Pentagon. I remember that morning vividly. For some unknown reason I had waken up early that morning around 7:30am. I was watching Good Morning America when the first plane hit. At first they said that "an airplane has just hit the World Trade Center." In my mind, I thought some idiot in a Cessna was drunk and ran into the tower. Then the first images of the destruction came on the screen and I was shocked. We all know what proceeded to happen.

Honestly speaking, we do live a way of life that the rest of the world envies. By all measures, the United States is undisputedly the best place to live. It is a shame that people would resort to terrorism to express themselves, but we must also remember that there are countries in this world that have people living under the fear of thier leader, goverment, disease, or starvation. I think today, we must remember the people that died two years ago, but we must also remember why it happened and what compelled those people to take such horiffic actions.
